About J.E. Williams
Over the more than twenty-five years of his clinical and academic career with in excess of 100,000 patient visits, Dr. Williams has earned a well-deserved reputation for his pioneering work in integrative medicine. He has served as a professional advisor to national health companies, hospitals and medical groups, including the world famous Scripps Health, lectured internationally including in Cuba and Mexico, and has been an educational leader including having served as the academic dean of the East West College of Natural Medicine. Dr. Williams is an internationally published author of numerous scientific papers, articles on ethnography and biodiversity, as well as bilingual poetry. He is fluent in Spanish and studied many other languages including French, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
His ethnobotanical research has taken him among more than twenty indigenous tribes in North and South America. Called the Indiana Jones of Natural Medicine, from the Artic, to the Andes Mountains and Amazon rainforests, and from China and to Cuba, he travels the globe in search of cures. He terms his investigations of healing practices and medicinal plants, green medicine - sustainable biological and nutritional therapies that are good for the Earth and healing to the patient. His work with Peruvian shamans and the search for the soul of healing is detailed in his book, The Andean Codex.
